This gorgeous tree by Clive Maddison is inspired by a Poplar Tree and set on an Oak wood base.

It is a unique handmade item with each strand of wire running from the roots through to the leaves. The canopy of leaves is made from loops of aluminium wire. It has no other additional wiring, glue, solder, or any other means of support and the sculpture is self supporting through the twisting method used which holds it together.

Clive has used a total of 192 metres of approximately 8000loops of wire within this piece.

The tree is mounted on a solid base of Sapele wood.
