Jenny is a watercolour Artist based at Bridge Studio near Durham City. Her work takes inspiration from the British Landscape, with the Lake District, Yorkshire, County Durham and Northumberland being of special interest to her.
Jenny uses a variety of techniques to produce her paintings and continually experiments with the medium to see where it will take her. Her paintings evolve as a combination of memory and close observation to give a lively fresh take on familiar subjects.
Her paintings are produced from a cocktail of sketches, photographs memory and imagination, creating paintings that are full of movement, colour and life. They are inspired by the landscapes and places we live in and our relationships to them.
Jenny loves to share her enthusiasm for painting by sharing her passion through workshops she conducts for adults and school children.
Jenny also paints scenes of the Lake District on unusually shaped ceramic vases and pots in watercolours and are one-off unique pieces of art. These can be found in the ceramic section.
Jenny has exhibited widely across the UK, from the Isles of Scilly in the South, to Windsor and Surry Contemporary Art Fairs, Art& in York, up to Durham and Newcastle in the North.
Jenny regularly undertakes commissions and really enjoys working with her clients to produce something that is perfect for their home or office, so if you like her style but can not find what you are looking for then please get in touch with the gallery.
