“Living by the shores of Morecambe Bay, I am surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of the Forest of Bowland, the Lake District, and the Yorkshire Dales, which provide the inspiration for many of my paintings.
I love to walk through the countryside and sit and sketch the shapes and colours as they emerge and then dissolve in the ever-changing light. Back in my studio I explore the resonance of these moments, using colour to convey my emotional response to the landscape.”
