Apricity - Notes from a Cold World

Anna Thomas MA MAFA is based here in Keswick, and we are delighted to welcome her first exhibition with the gallery, ‘Apricity - Notes on a Cold World’. This is a beautiful collection of works, full of warm seasonal tones, rich colour and playful joy that is characteristic of Anna’s work. Anna will be here in the gallery from 10am on Saturday 8th of November to chat about her process, work and inspiration behind this beautiful body of work.

'Apricity is the warmth of the sun in winter. It becomes a metaphor for art's capacity to hold space for hope, beauty, and connection amidst uncertainty. In the chill of a fractured world, I hope that my paintings may act as notes of warmth and fragments of light; memory and tendernessthat remind us of our shared humanity.

We are delighted to host an evening with the wonderful Dorothy Ramsay, in partnership with the Keswick Alhambra Cinema. The cinema will be showing ‘Show Up and Start’ - The Life and Art of Dorothy Ramsay at 5pm, followed by drinks with Dorothy at the Northern Lights Gallery, where we will also have a range of Dorothy’s work available to view and purchase.
